Manufacturers or importers that manufacture or import 1 ton or more of chemicals annually on their own or in a mixture are required to make notifications of these chemicals as per the regulation.

It is forbidden to find, manufacture and place on the market the chemical substances for which registrations are not made according to the provisions of the regulation, on their own, in mixtures or in the goods. Administrative sanctions are imposed on businesses that do not comply with these provisions.

The regulation covers chemical manufacturers and importers, as well as being an overseas chemical producer and exporting chemicals to Turkey; also concerns companies. Foreign chemical manufacturers can only fulfill their obligation to register or register with the Chemical Registration System by making an Only Representative agreement with a KKDIK Expert resident in Turkey or a company that provides consultancy on this matter. Chemical producing countries are exported to Turkey; their chemicals into the Chemical Registration System (KKS) of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization as “Exclusive Representative”; They can't supply them to the Turkish market without registering them.
