Soil Conservation and Land Use Law No. 5403; It includes the procedures and principles that will ensure the protection and development of the soil by preventing the loss of natural or artificial means and loss of its qualities, and planned land use in accordance with the principle of sustainable development with environmental priority.
Protection of soils in all kinds of initiatives and investment processes that require land use, prevention of soil losses as a result of natural and artificial events; land use plans, agricultural land use plans and projects and soil protection projects are implemented.
In this context, if any risk of deterioration or pollution in agricultural areas is determined as a result of the activities carried out in agricultural lands, a soil conservation project including protection control measures to eliminate this deterioration or pollution should be made by the activity owners.
