With the Regulation on the Prevention of Major Industrial Accidents and Reducing Their Effects; It is aimed to determine all the measures to be taken in order to prevent major industrial accidents, to minimize the damages of possible accidents to human and environment, to provide an effective and continuous protection and risk management.
In this context, it has been stipulated that all industrial facilities containing hazardous chemicals must notify the Ministry, and accordingly, the definitions of Low-Level and High-Level Institutions have been introduced to industrial facilities with the regulation, in which the procedures and principles regarding the measures to be taken to ensure high-level, effective and continuous protection are determined.
Within the scope of these definitions, it has become mandatory for organizations to prepare a "Major Accident Prevention Policy (BEKÖP)" and "Safety Report" depending on their level in order to prevent major industrial accidents, minimize their effects and provide long-term protection.
Enterprises that are determined to be Low-Level Organizations are required to prepare the Major Accident Prevention Policy Document, and businesses that fall under the definition of Top-Level Organization are required to prepare a Safety Report in addition to this.
