Measurement of Heavy Metals and Compounds (Environmental and Personal Exposure)

Heavy metals are compounds found naturally in nature. They are metals that can have a toxic effect even at low concentrations, their use in industrial processes and products has increased rapidly in recent years, and accordingly, their effects on humans have reached dangerous values. Being exposed to work for a long time is a problem in terms of employee health, but it can also lead to occupational diseases.

These metals can cause acute and chronic poisoning by entering the human body through the mouth, respiratory and skin routes. It is important to measure heavy metals in terms of employee health, especially heavy metals with high toxic effects such as lead, mercury and cadmium.

Heavy Metal measurements in enterprises are evaluated within the scope of the Regulation on Health and Safety Measures in Working with Chemicals, and enterprises should take measures according to the measurement results and ensure control by repeating the measurements at certain periods.
